Ignore the troll who said stuff about Canada....

Well, I'm going to assume you didn't see that scene with the classmate? I'll start there then.

Sunhill finds the classmate through Dr. Slesinger (sp?) [aka. The old guy with the glasses] and then she "interrogates" him. She asks him questions like "How scared are you right now?" and he keeps denying the fact that he IS scared. He gives in when she puts out a women's underwear down ziplocked, and says stuff like "DNA has come through in the last decade...." (paraphrasing), and that leads him to think that he has no options other than to confess. He then says "I tried to stop them, but they hated her, they hated her so much". She takes this down, and then afterwards, she throws the underwear away IN FRONT of that classmate. The guy then says "What are you doing? What about the DNA?", and she says "What DNA? OHH I JUST BOUGHT THOSE AN HOUR AGO". Ha.

Then, if I'm not mistaken, John's character talks to the General to investigate. John's character talks about Robert Moore's death, and how he's not so convinced that he really committed suicide. At this point in time, I'm pretty sure he knew about the original rape, and asked him about it. He admitted that he had no choice but to hide the evidence because it would "shake the foundations of West Point" and "permanently damage the women in the military". Another intense moment because the black guy almost accuses the General of killing his daughter. Oh, and before he arrived to see the General, he brought along a tape provided by Moore's lawyer/lover. The lover said that if Moore could do this, I could pull a monkey out of my ear...

I think I'm skipping a lot of info, but then John's character tries to find Sunhill and she's taken away by that other Sergant. That's when the info is revealed......

Actually this is what happens after Sunhill discovers that Campbell was raped seven years earlier.

Travolta goes to the general and makes him listen to the tape with the phone call of the girl to his father, in which she asked him to go to the drill camp in the middle of the night.

That night the general found her tied like the night she was raped for real (seven years before) but the rape of that night was fake, it was organized by the girl with the help of her friend Moore.

The fake rape didn't impress her father who came back in the car and went away.

Then Travolta realizes that Kent killed the girl that night because he fell in love with her but she didn't love him.

At the end happens what you said: Kent dies and the general is arrested because he omitted to report the rape seven years earlier and the facts happened in the night in which his daughter was killed.

I can't remember how Kent knew that the girl was there that night.

Anyone knows???

Do you remember this scene vividly? Is this the one where the camera focuses on her eyes and pulls back to see this eerie creepy look on her face. Then later she's at a hospital where someone advises her not to press charges b/c it will make her father look bad? Or am I confusing this scene with one from another film?

Thanks, MOnica
