Only one woman in the entire military?

I don't understand how there can only be one woman in the entire military. In Renaissance Man there was a seperate section of the military which consisted of nothing BUT women!!!

I think the point was that she was a lonely entity in a mans world disliked by her male colleagues and therefore alienated because in their view she didn't know her place. If there were a whole load of female officers in this movie it would have lost the point IMHO.

Awe Skinny, you got blood all over my trousers!
Jeez I'm real sorry Frank.

What were you doing when you watched this film? From you're other posts it's clear you completely missed most of the important points!
She was not the only woman in the army, she was taking part in a training exercise at West Point and got separated from her group, a bunch of guy soldiers from a different group that didn't like her for being such a promising cadet found her on her own and decided to pay her back for being a skilled woman in a 'man's job'. Some men just don't like women for being 'weaker' than them but they absolutely hate us when we're better than them at 'manly' things, pride really is a terrible thing. Before any blokes out there get offended note I said some men, I know you're not all idiots like that :)
There was about a thousand of soldier there that night according to the psychologist that told them the story so you can safely assue that there were other women amongst them. She was just unlucky that she was alone and outnumbered by a bunch of vindictive animals that night.

You must have seen a different "Renaissance Man" than I did. That movie was released in 1994 and didn't have women in a seperate section. That's historically accurate since the Women's Army Corps was disbanded in 1978.
