shareThere's a short paragraph at the end of the film that tells of the General being found guilty for his involvement in the cover-up.
shareYes but the question was did he get arrested and serve time in a military prison?

I guess they could have had a trial that found him guilty without arresting him then found him guilty and not punished him...
:)
Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order
"...did he get arrested..."
Does it matter if he was ever formally arrested? He was apparently court-martialed and found guilty.
"...serve time..."
The movie doesn't address the issue of the general's punishment. I would find it highly unlikely that a general officer would actually spend time in a military prison unless he'd commited a major crime. While covering up a death is an offense, it isn't one that's going to result in jail time for a general officer, particularly when it's the death of his daughter and he wasn't culpable in her death, only in covering it up.
He´ll have a life sentence for his crimes.
shareWhat crimes did he commit that carry a life sentence? He didn't commit murder or manslaughter. He didn't commit treason or espionage. What did he do that will cause him to spend the rest of his life behind bars?
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: "We have a comedian among us. Private Joker."
Well, let´s see.
He comitted aggravated involuntary manslaughter, conspiracy, accessory to gang- rape after the fact and accessory to murder after the fact in the case of his daughter.
And, finally, he comitted conspiracy and accesory to murder before the fact in the murder of Colonel Moore.
And you say he won´t have a life sentence?
