What kind of pills did Patrick take before he killed Paul?

I noticed that Patrick took a pill before he killed Paul. What kind of pills were they? Any speculations...?

reply

Xanax? Maybe, I don't know, not really.

Can't, I'm afraid. Matinee of Le Miz. Christ, I'll call you.

Jesus againstglobalism, what does that have to do with anything?

reply

Ohohohooo! Well, what about the side effects of Prozac, honey? Doesn't that affect him too? I mean do you know anything about antidepressants? How, like, the doctors are prescribing tons of these drugs over there?

reply

Most guys I know, who are depressed. Really don't like it.

reply

No. Yeah. I mean, yeah. But even after admitting this, there is no catharsis. Listen, I've gotta go. Maybe we could do smack one day next week. And freebasing. I like freebasing. Oh, Christ. I'll call you!

reply

Okay, I gotta admit...all this feedback I'm getting of quotes from the movie is just hilarious. But seriously...what kind of pills did he take?

reply

that's very cool, againstglobalism, but that's nothing. Look at this: http://rebnatdanclomediablog.blogspot.com/2012/10/psychological-horror-deconstruction_23.html. Blogsite, analyzing the scene, what do you think?

reply

Valium pills. So typical, isn't it?

reply

Great stuff. Tell me, sgt. Do you think benzodiazepines are becoming too... commercial?

reply

Actually, againstglobalism, that's none of your business. But I can assure you, they weren't cheap.

reply

O my God beavischipolte, do you want to quote you up some f-cking quotato quote cakes? Some quotkas?

Can't, I'm afraid. Matinee of Le Miz. Christ, I'll call you.

Anti-psychotic pills, like Sergeant Schumann's in Wag The Dog. In neither film were they effective in curbing the character's "drive".

reply

They way I understood the movie is that he did not kill anyone, just in his mind?
Am I missing the point?

reply

The film is open to diverse interpretations. He could have killed all of the people he does in the film, some of them, or none in which case it is all a psychotic fantasy. I think he kills some of them but the ATM scene and after, fairly late in the film, suggests a complete break with reality.

The intent of the film makers was that the murders were real, but it ended up being ambiguous in the edit.

I always saw the murders as real in both the book and the movie.

reply

In the book he takes valium pills.
