Why not take a cab to McDonalds

I know Sandler plays an idiot in a good bit of his movies. But if you wanted to get to a place in a time crunch situation then an intelligent person would take the fastest transportation over the smallest. If they took a cab, then the pissing on the wall skit wouldn't have been used.

He was making money on the stock market, he says so early in the film and he got $200,000 from a lawsuit. You think he can't afford a cab but can afford 2 matching suits from Barney's?

$200,000 won't last that long if you keep blowing it on stupid things like cab rides, plus his rent was EASILY over a grand a month. Even if he spent his money on nothing but rent, he would only be able to afford that apartment for around 15 years.
