Bobby was a made guy without ever killing anyone.
How does that happen?
Getting made isn't about murder count. Its about money. He must have earned alot.
shareIt's not necessarily a rule that you have to kill someone to be a made guy. If you're a good earner, and are well liked by the guys, and probably have some good family connections (Bobby Sr. was Juniors top button man for a lone time), then you could get made.
sharehe was made before he came on the show. maybe he killed before he was made. but I can't recall if it was ever discussed that he never killed anybody. I am re-watching the show and am on season 3, episode 6.
shareYes, it was discussed with Tony while at Bobby's lake house. Tony directly pointed out that he never whacked anyone. Bobby says, "I did a lot of other shit, but . . . "
sharethanks.
shareI like to think that the fierce and imposing Bobby we saw in last season was the one who existed before he was assigned the wet nurse job to Uncle Junior. We also saw hints of Bobby's breaking point early on when Tony laughed at him in his hunting attire and said "Fuck This!". I was surprised by his reaction, but when Jr. told him to obey Tony he followed orders nonetheless. That showed me that he could turn on a dime and execute top brass orders better than most of the other members that Tony gave bigger assignments to.
shareSo, killing someone is supposed to be part of the entry fee because that shows you aren't a cop and can be c trusted to do whatever is necessary.
Do we know if Bobby ever kill before the series started?
Please see RickGee’s comment on this above. No, Bobby had not whacked anyone as was discussed between Tony and Bobby at the lake.
I think Sandman81 (also above) gave the best explanation of how Bobby probably got made without clipping someone.
Y’all missed the point.
He wasnt made to because he had lineage, that being his father. And it never was an entrance fee. I think Chris hadnt necessarily be made to.
