An Amazing Film plus whats your fav song from the movie

Well, what can I say apart from this movie beeing one of the most outstanding drama films I have ever seen. Sure I am 22 but this film just makes me laugh and cry at the same time. I purchased the dvd version. yesturday. As I am that mad on it.

The whole cast are just brillient, and the soundtrack is even better with such songs as, How, LandSlide etc. just totaly awsome. I wised they would make a part 2 to the movie with the original cast. But don't know how they could make a plot out of it...

My Favorite songs from the movie are as follows

Lisa Loab (How End Credits)
Fleetwood Mac (Landslide Charlie Builds Snowman alone)

Those two songs are just the best

Are you kidding?

of course he is. No living person over the age of four could endure even watching that movie

Watched it last night and quite liked it. You have to be pretty heartless or plagued with cynicism to not find something in there to like.

reply

totally agree. you have to be. this movie is a total heart cry.

But don't change a hair for me
Not if you care for me

i watched Jack Frost for the first time on xmas day this year (as in 2 days ago) but my family arrived for lunch about half way through so i missed the ending. i was really enjoying it coz i love corny xmas movies but iam so sad to find out about the ending!! i was hoping it would have been a happy ending where the dad somehow came back to life or lived as a snowman forever? anyway iam very upset to hear that he just died!!! it kinda puts a dampner on a xmas movie, coz those kinda movies are usually all happy with perfect endings...very sad indeed

PS. merry xmas everyone!

I'm 18 & I've loved the film since I was about 11 (when it came out). I agree the soundtrack is great. My favourite songs are 'Swirl 360 - Hey Now Now', 'Lisa Loeb - How' & 'Fleetwood Mac - Landslide' (shame Landslide isn't on the soundtrack).

By the way - to anyone who thinks the film is 'childish' or whatever, that's your opinion. I disagree.

Reasons I like this film - it's funny, it's got a good cast, the music is great, it's a snowy/christmassy movie (love snow & christmas)... I could go on.

perhapse they couldn't acquire the rights to put landslide on the soundtrack.

"If you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills, well the landslide'll bring it down" -S. Nicks

When the son is making the snowman, there's a song playing. It goes like this:

'children get older, I'm getting older ... now
if you see my reflection on a snow covered mountain...'

You know, I can quote this movie quite a bit as well. That's how much I must know it. Sometimes I just randomly quote it. It's kinda funny.

I actually wanna watch it now. I haven't thought about it for ages (oh, aside from the other day when my dad had packed LOADS of things for us being at a festival for about 3 days and he said he thought he'd brought too much, it reminded me of when Charlie had all that stuff, and says "We could get snowed under for months, you'll thank me").

Then I didn't think about it again and now I randomly typed in Jack Frost into IMDB. I dunno why. I can't remember the last time I saw it, but for all the years I've known it I've seen it loads.

Just now have I discovered another great song that was (very breifly) in the movie... the song that was playing when Charlie and Mac are watching TV, before Charlie goes and builds the snowman (when Landslide plays) it's 'Stevie Ray Vaughan - Couldn't Stand The Weather'. Great track!

(Wow, I'm now 22... Jack Frost came out over 10 years ago now! I saw it in cinema, got the video, got the soundtrack... then I got the DVD, to replace the video I'd had all those years, christmas 2008!)

I'm watching it right now; I'm totally reliving my childhood tonight. Even as a kid I realized how amazing the music is.

Favorites, in no particular order:
Landslide by Fleetwood Mac
Have a Little Faith by the Jack Frost Band
Frosty the Snowman by the Jack Frost Band
Hey Now Now by Swirl 360
Merry Christmas, Baby

There are probably more that I won't remember until it gets to that part in the movie.

I am Jack's broken heart.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. My favorite song is "Roll With The Changes" by REO Speedwagon.
