Did anyone think the first 2 eps were good and then it went downhill
The fifth episode in particular was terrible. Utterly ludicrous

shareDid you just watch this on Fox Classics the past 5 nights? If so, so did I. I really enjoyed the first night, it was different to what I was expecting (in a good way) and was surprisingly funny, however I never enjoyed the other nights as much as the first.
shareYeah, I'd agree with that. The most ludicrous thing was that Phil Goddard had completed his tour of Vietnam and arrived safely home undamaged, then for no apparent reason he volunteered to go back there again resulting in him getting really screwed up!
shareI love the series (have it on an old VHS boxset as I first saw it on UK TV back in the early 90s); however I would tend to agree that the Apocalypse Now-esque episode was totally out of keeping with the series. I felt the strength of the series was looking at the effect of the war at home in Australia, not so much the guts and cordite on the battlefield.
"Someone has been tampering with Hank's memories."
That whole black operations style unit thing was ridiculous
