This or Valmont or Dangerous Liaisons?

This version I am fond of only because it came out when I was a teenager and I thought it was such a great movie at the time and Ryan Phillippe was hot.
Now I find it cheesy, but I watched it recently because of nostalgia and it was fun.
Valmont I didn’t really see apart from some bits when it was on tv so I can’t really say. I remember not even wanting to watch it as I was so used to Dangerous Liasons which was one of my favorite movies and I thought Valmont couldn’t possibly come close so I didn’t even give it a chance.
I was young and stupid, now I would watch it if I came across it again but it’s not exactly at the top of my list so who knows when will that be.
I ended up liking Valmont more than Dangerous Ls, mainly because of Annette Benning’s stellar performance. Colin Firth was hotter than Malkovitch too.

I loved Dangerous Liaisons so much when I was in my late teens, it was among my favorite movies.
But I noticed when I watched it the last time, I felt that it was a bit too romantic. I guess my taste changed over the years, I’m not that much into romance anymore. 😆
I agree Malkovich is not exactly hot usually, even though he was inexplicably attractive in this movie, he had something about him. Maybe it wascthe wig. 😁
And I loved Glenn Close in it, she was amazing as the villain.
