I haven't seen this yet. But with the names 'Leo' and 'Frank' and the plot of someone going to work for what seems like a run of the mill organization but is actually an evil network of scumbags, is this film supposed to have some sort of link to the james caan film 'Thief'.

I don't know if the names Leo and Frank mean anything, but the first thing I thought of was that poor guy that was wrongly convicted of murder and then lynched (many years ago - wiki Leo Frank). Maybe just a coincidence? Either way - both sad stories where innocent people got screwed.

James Gray's father was caught up in a scandal and corruption in the yards. Gray used it as his inspiration.
It's a original story. A very good.
This is a Tragedy in it's purest sense.
