Q bout Leo and Willie *spoiler*

Sorry if this sounds too obvious and clear ... but I dont see the reason why Leo is protecting Willie all along after Wil
ie killed the yardmaster. Why didnt he just rat him out at that point!? Even when Erica asked if Willie killed the man, Leo couldnt say yes ! Why?

reply

He's just not the type of man to rat someone out. Didn't he serve time for someone else? We see him return from jail in the beginning. I haven't seen the film for a long time but I think this was the case. He thinks he owes it to his friend. Sad thing is, his so-called friend had no problems whatsoever to blame him. Or let others think Leo was the man who killed the guy.

Hi Lucy!

Yes he did serve time in jail, he got out as the movie started - he served time for stealing a car though. I'm asking about Willie, yes sad thing, if Willie doesn't seem to care about Leo, why the heck should Leo not rat him out ?!
Is he that naïve? I also noticed his naïveté for falling so easily into their dark world. Leo seemed unintelligent at times, and this was portrayed in his actions, words, and his face!

Why ?? *Why does Leo owe something to Willie* ? That's what I'm wondering: was there any indication in the movie as to why Leo insisted on protecting this insincere friend of his? or is he just the dumb type. ?!?
