b) have you actually observed pretty women from this kind of background? Since she is ACTING, she is not Charlize Theron but actually Erica. So talking about ERICA, lots of women from that kind of family, socio-economic status, educational level, etc., end up with men who don't seem to "deserve" them. Women aren't as shallow as men, in general. We look for more than "hotness" to determine worthiness. In context, WILLIE represented something--security, belonging, acceptance, a home (consider the script)--that go far beyond what someone looks like.
Women are just as shallow as men, but you're right that looks isn't the thing they usually are shallow about.

It is generally rude to point out things related to someone's handicap - or are you one of those school bullies ? In any case, it was operated and it does not appear to be a problem - if anything it adds to his charm and charisma.
