Plot holes

I am a lifelong New Yorker and one thing I can say with absolute certainty is:

I have never seen a NYC cop by himself. EVER!!! It does not happen, especially not responding to a call. There is no way the cop on the rail yard would have been alone. That bothered me.

Also, you are on the run for murder and ATTEMPTED MURDER OF OF A COP, yet somehow you manage to like, STILL LIVE IN YOUR MOTHER'S HOUSE?!?!?!?!?
Impossible, implausible, completetely unrealistic. NEVER NEVER NEVER could happen, not with a cop in a coma, no way. If the vixctim was just a regular person, thats possible, but a COP?!?!? No way!! that bothered me too. But I still enjoyed the movie.

Absolutely!

Those are the two things I also mentioned to my wife that bothered me about the film. It was otherwise EXCELLENT but it was hard to see past the two obvious plot holes. No way would he be able to hang around his mom's house for so long so easily. He would have been caught.

Otherwise I really loved the film and found the characters very well written. Nobody was all bad or all good. They were real people all trying to do what was best in each situation.

Good movie.
