I would be scared as hell at what would happen if those ppl found out the truth. I read history about the Aztec societies and how they could torture and 'sacrifice' people. During the first night while everyone is sleep, I would grab a sack full of gold that I can carry, jump on that horse, and get the f' up outta there while I still can.

I was thinking it would be best to declare yourselves not actual gods, but messengers of the gods. That way, you could give orders without being expected to perform miracles. Also, in the way of real world psychics, give vague proclamations and only comment on events after they've already occurred. If a volcano erupted, you could take credit after the fact and say that you did it because you were angry.
