This movie was one of the funniest things I've ever watched. It was on UPN this afternoon, and I ended up watching the whole movie. It reminded me of those old "abc afterschool specials" my mom used to make me watch when I was a kid.
The scene where her ex-boyfriend shows up when she is in labor was priceless. Was this film made by the Christian right? What a hoot.
I really enjoyed the movie. I showed realities of children having children. Parenst should have their kids watch this movie!!! Donna

I had my son when I was 18 and my girlfriend was 17, so it was close to then.
Its nothing like the stereotypical portrayal in the film. Kids should not watch this for that reason because they will come away with similar false views. I got quite annoyed with this film because it just seemed that so little research had been done. It was just an easy to make film that does no help to a situation.
Really? So what is it really like? What are the differences? Just wondering...

I just had to watch some of this on Lifetime, and I couldn't stop laughing. It was great. It was like, the most sterotypical thing I've ever seen. The "bad boy" boyfriend with the leather jacket and the bad mom who screams at him. You know, from "the wrong side of the tracks" thing. The sad sister. The "in your face" grandma. The nosy mother who just wants to do whats right for her kids, but comes across as the most annoying person ever. Gosh, I hated this movie. Lifetime sucks.
But it is worth watching, if for no other reason than to have a good laugh.
Also, did anyone else notice how the music NEVER had anything to do with what the scene was about? Like, when Kirsten Dunst just screamed at her boyfriend on the phone, and he hung up on her and she sat on her bed and cried, it was playing funny, upbeat music? Whoever directed this should be put in jail for 3-5 years.

um. I actually kinda liked the movie. I think the thing they meant by the whole thing is to show how much it'll *beep* up a family. yes it's very steriotypical. But that doesnt meant there arnt families out there just like that either. I mean really, if ur 15 year old sister got pregnant wouldnt ur family hit the ceiling?
I liked the movie because it showed how much it could tear up, and bring together a family. Really things like that would prolly tear families apart.
