Playing House(A MUST READ!!)

If you like this movie or was dissappointed in it, well check out my story Playing House. You won't be dissapointed, promise.

I always noticed that most every work of fiction with teen pregnancy has the same plot elements and same place of ending, even the current ones. They are always rushed, never go into full detail to the actual situation and feelings, the teen father either dies or abandons the teen mother, and it always ends after the baby is born and we're supposed to believe that that's the end, when really that's not the end in that situation... it's only the beginning. They never went into what the whole thing is and explore the most important part, after the baby is born.

This story on teen pregnancy different than the others, where the father stays and is supportive, where the teens aren't stupid, where the pace is slow and the reader feels they're actually there and not in a montage of summaries/music over images, and more importantly where the story doesn't end after the labor but instead spans five years. You just can't show what it is to be a teen parent when you end the story after the baby is born. This normal pace series is about two teens, both from dysfunctional families and an unlikely couple, having a baby and trying to be the kind of parent their parents failed to be to them.

Please read it, you won't regret it.

Do you know why the teen father is usually seen abandoning the mother and child? That's because that's what happens. 98% of teen fathers leave before the baby's even born and of the remaining 2%, half leave before the child turns two. If you're writing a story about a father in his teens that actually sticks around, you're writing about 1% of all teen pregnancies.

Yes, of course I know that, and maybe this series will help boost the numbers up. There needs to be a good example for expectant teen fathers to look up to and aspire to be.
