When this movie came out in 1999 I though it was different, irreverent and hip. Now at 50...I I have come to realise that this movie is really meant or a certain age group and the point of view that some young adults have.
So if you are under thirty and love this movie, in 20 or so years you might have a different point of view. I still think it story is highly original though.

This really a film targeted at single young adult men, intelligent, but somewhat aimless, 25-35.
A time of post college/school, where young men are dealing with the ennui of life for the first time, have no family responsibilities and little ambition for corporate advancement.
The Firm (93) is a good counterbalance to this film.
That said, I still really enjoy this film. Highly original, nothing like it that I can think of.
