This is one of my favorite movies. I first watched it when I was around 10 and loved it, I'm 26 right now, and just watched it last night, and even though I can see its flaws, I still like it and find it quite entertaining.

Also, it was actually quite well directed for its time.

For its time?
Are you implying that Hollywood directing has improved since year 2000?
I beg to differ....
The only truly great new director that's come along since 2000 (or since 1998) is Darren Aronofsky.
Apart from him I don't think Hollywood directing has improved, instead its become too unoriginal.
