Don't get me wrong i loved Johnny but was anyone else hoping for Pete and Sharon hook up at some stage, i know they kissed?

i think thats when the show went downhill. too much drama and it became just another 'friends' knock off. The first season is the best season of a sitcom ever made in my opinion. Berg is at his best being the smooth cool goof off, not being in love.

No, Sharon and Johnny was just right imo.

I used to think it was a shame they didn't let Pete stay with one of the gf's he had, I remember liking the one that had a child, thought that could have brought some different storylines into the show too. Ashley should have run away with Nomar.

And Berg and Irene? Love them together lol

i liked the way Pete ended up with Ashley. there was always so much sexual tenion between them, it had to happen at some point

First season was the best. I think the way Friends was able to last so long was that the first three seasons were about fun and being laid back. Mid way through the fourth season was when a bit of drama kicked in. Last few seasons saw how things progressively changed for the better.
I think Two guys and a Girl tried to pack the changes Friends made over the ten years all into a course of a single season.

I didn't mind the girlfriend of Pete's in the first season that he seemed to want to break up with.
Berg going to med school was a good idea but it definitely takes longer to get in and to finish, he was starting residency by the third season, in real life it would have taken longer even for a brilliant guy.

As others have said, this was the shows downfall, i really don't like my sitcoms to become drama orientated, i couldn't have cared less if they got together, they should have never introduced this storyline at all and just ruined it for me.

Not to mention how he got to Med school, i think he was at the Hospital once got a question right and just walked off with them and thus was in Med school, LOL.

I never liked the whole Pete and Sharon bit. The whole "I love you because your with someone else and I can't have you now" bit at the end of the 2nd season was too annoying. That's the thing that always annoyed me about Pete, he ruined his own relationships and damn near well ruined the best relationship his best friend had ever had? Not the qualities for a best friend.

As someone else said, too much sexual tension between Pete and Ashley, so that was great to see happen and I liked Berg and Irene together, they were cute.

I was hoping for a Pete/Sharon ending till the very end. :P I never liked her with Johnny and, even though I thought Pete/Ashley had crazy chemistry together, I like Ashley better with Berg.

I agree with the person who said Pete should've stayed with the woman who had a son and that it would've allowed for some interesting storylines. All the swapping partners and people having feelings but not talking about them then having fights and then sleeping together and stuff like that got so boring.

Also there was than episode where Sharon said to Johnny "I've got some feelings for Pete" and they agreed to work through it bit that was never mentioned again. Sure we can assume they worked it out but it just seemed like a half-hearted attempt to cause a problem between them for one episode then they just forgot about it.

I didn't like Berg when he was with Ashley, he and Irene were cute together. I liked Ashley being with Nomar because that's when her character started to become more interesting and Pete was funny gushing over Nomar lol.
