Pete vs. Berg -- who was the biggest womanizer?

First, let me say that I feel rather ridiculous starting a discussion thread about a show that has been off the air for 9 years, but I never saw the show during it's original run (that long original title was a turn off), but I happened to catch it on WE (Women's Entertainment) a few years ago and really liked it.

I've been watching the show (I've got a lot of the episodes on my hard drive) and I noticed something.

When the show first started, Pete seemed to be SLIGHTLY more stable than Berg when it came to relationships. Pete had a girlfriend (though he seemed to be looking for reasons to break up with her) and Berg was just...Berg. He had reputation for being a guy who jumped from woman to woman -- though nothing on the show (in season one) really backed that up. He admits that he has a huge crush on Bethany in "Two Guys, a Girl and a Party", but he doesn't seem to have enough self-confidence to even let her know. A real ladies man wouldn't have had that problem.

Berg's dating history (his exploits that pre-dated the show) made it look like he really got around (examples: His tryst with Nicole, that's revealed in "Two Guys, a Girl and a Tattoo" and his fling(s) with Teri, as revealed in "Two Guys, a Girl and a Wedding"), but he never really behaved like this during the actual run of the show.

Pete on the other hand, hooked up with a lot more women than Berg did over the actual run of the show.

Working from memory, Berg's dating history (only those he actually hooked up with on the show) looked like this:

- Ashley (who he meets in, "Two Guys, a Girl and Someone Better", and pursues throughout season 2)
- Venita (who he meets in "Two Guys, a Girl and the Storm of the Century")
- Shaun (they kissed in, "Two Guys, a Girl and a Valentine's Day", but I'm not sure this counts because she was only using him to make Johnny jealous)
- The Body Model from "The Monitor Story", but that was just to make Ashley jealous.
- Tara Roberts (the mortician from "War Stories")
- Irene (who he hooked up with in "El Matrimonio Loco" and stayed with through the rest of the series)
- Katie Conner (who he kissed in "Make Mine Tea")

Pete, on the other hand...

- Melissa
- Lauren Henderson (in "Two Guys, a Girl and a Recovery")
- Molly (in "Two Guys, a Girl and a Chance Encounter")
- Brittany Walker (Ashley's sister, in "Two Guys, a Girl and an Internship")
- Kaitlin Rush (who he meets in "Two Guys, a Girl and a Christmas Story")
- Irene (he's making out on the couch with her "Two Guys, a Girl and a Valentine's Day")
- Sharon (he kisses her at the end of "Two Guys, a Girl and a Valentine's Day")

On a side note, it always struck me as odd that Ashley would hook up with Pete, considering that she hated him, she'd previously dated his roommate (Berg), Pete had just ended a relationship with Berg's Mother AND Pete had not only had a fling with her sister, I'm sure that Ashley's father is still pissed at Pete because of the way things went down during that entire fiasco.
