My list would have to include John Doe, Firefly, Sports Night, and of course, Two Guys and a Girl.
Definitely would have to go with Sports Night out of all those though. After watching the entire series practically without stopping, I can honestly say that Sorkin should have stuck with writing comedy and I eagerly await Studio 60.
Loved Sports Night, too, but I was crushed when Firefly was cancelled. What do you think of Studio 60?
shareI would have to agree with you on Firefly, but the problem with that show was that the producers decided that they were not going to continue if they didn't get everything they wanted from the broadcast company. When they didn't get it, they discontintued their production.
I am pretty sure that most shows that are cancelled usually fall under this category. It is usually not because they have bad rating, in fact just the opposite. They have great ratings but they wanted to much in return from the broadcast companies for completion of a certain show. AKA Friends, after the contract dispute the broadcast company decided that the tenth season was enough, I think so did most of the actors... (besides Matt LeBlanc obviously.)

When this got cancelled, I stopped watching network TV almost altogether. They give up on shows too easily (especially serialized) and keep creating more and more cop/hospital procedurals. share
For those of us a few years older, the best show to ever get cancelled was the original WKRP.

It had a lot of competition with friends and it was better than alot of shows that air right now like according to jim, the class and life on a stick.
Friends is in my opinion the best sitcom ever (better than seinfeld) and it's a hard show to compete with if every show ever aired was compared to friends 82% of all sitcoms would have been cancelled
Arrested Development was the greatest show ever, let alone the best show ever cancelled.
shareMarried with Children was funny and it got cancelled... more just dissapeared without anyone knowhing what happened to it though lol... Too bad, I would have at least like to have seen a final episode on it :(
