I watched this a couple years back, and thoroughly enjoyed the plot. Are there any other movies with a similar premise?

Kinda made me think of The Lottery. I should point out though that The Lottery does not contain any tips on how to win the lottery, it's more a chilling tale of conformity gone mad.

The Mist has similar themes. Watchmen does, too. Not exactly the same, but some complex moral choices.

I thought IT and Dreamcatcher were similar in the sense they were epic and drawn out.

Definitely seemed like a twist on "The Lottery" story.
