Wow...and questions!
For me most anything that comes from Stephen King rarely rises above being mediocre or being just "okay," however I thought Storm of The Century was great! I had never seen it until Encore aired it over this last week and I loved it!
I do have a couple of things I am wondering about though. The dude says that they have to give him what he wants of their own volition, like it has to be their choice to give him the thing he wants, he cannot take it against their will.
So, since Mike never agreed to give up any child and specifically said that if the idiots of the town wanted to put their kids up that was their call but that his child was absolutely not a part of it and then that b**** of a wife puts the kid up anyway...well Ralphie is "half" his and half the wife's would this not be considered INvoluntary, ultimately? Wouldn't that not count because he was not entirely hers to give? Or was he just screwing with them and he would've taken the kid no matter what happened?
My other ponder is what work did Linogue (sp?) do that required him to pick a subject to mentor/train and carry on? I am not well versed in bible stuff or religious stuff, so if it's related to that and this is a dumb question, my apologies. But I just wasn't clear on that. What does he do all day for "work"?
And why did he have to look old at all if he could just look as young as he wanted anyway? What was the point of looking young at all? Did he do that just to make it easier for people to listen to him?
Even with some things that didn't add up to me I still thoroughly enjoyed this one.
"Rock 'n roll martian!"
