I watched this movie today, only one time... I like it, but Am I getting it right?:
I find that this story is about choices and how a choice could change everything... is this correct?
If yes, what is the relation between Lola's choices and everybody else's destiny? Why did the future of those people in the road change every time Lola took a different choice or direction??
I don't think it's about choices, but rather the butterfly effect. One tiny little thing that's different and it completely changes the path of your future.
No, I don't think that's the same thing. One's life can also be affected by coincidence, something you don't have any choice in.
Anyway how does that work and change the future of other people who are not related to Lola and don't even know her?!
Like I said, the butterfly effect. Each time something small changes in the beginning (the cartoon bits with the dog), which causes another change, and then another. Just something as simple as Lola bumping into that woman means that the path of her life changes. They don't have to be related, it's about small things that are seemingly irrelevant. It's a philosophical question.

A responder mentioned the butterfly effect, an integral part of the Chaos Theory and for me, this is reminiscent of why the space/time continuum is so rabidly debated on boards like Interstellar and others.
A film about a choice changing radically the life of a character (and similarly showing the parallel scenarios engendered by that choice) would be Przypadek (Blind Chance), directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski.
"Blind Chance" is pretty good. I would think considering Kieslowski was one of the directors that Tykwer emulated that "Run Lola Run" is a product of that film.
If you're not taking any steps forward, you're not moving at all.
