Heeey, sorry if it's been asked before but I've seen the movie a million times and I still haven't caught on why Frick had Morgan put that stone in Arthur's cradle.

Anyone care to help me? Please

I'm guessing it was a curse of some kind or maybe to help his misfortune. I don't know too much about the mythology on that one but that was my take.
