How did Will overpower Ray so quickly...by the way, did he kill any?

Everytime I watch this movie, I wonder if Will murdered Mr. Brooks with the machete. I know for sure, Will and Ben likely both attacked Estes. I don't know how Estes had the strength to stumble all the way back to the resort from the beach with how he was impaled. In the final showdown, Ray gets many punches into Will's face. After Ray finds his gun is empty, Will quickly overpowers Ray.

It just surprised me. Unless Ray's broken arm may have weakened him some. Ray did damage going toe-to-toe with Ben in the first one.

I figured Ben was conditioning will for the life of a serial killer for years. Ray was tough, but I'm sure his body wasn't fully recovered after the accident like you said. Will was a killer without mercy like his old man.

How do you think Ray and Will's brawl would have gone if Ray wasn't injured? As I also mentioned, do you think both Will and Ben killed Estes and Mr. Brooks? The blood on Will's shirt when he reveals himself to Julie is Estes' blood.

If Ray wasn't injured I think he'd take Will. He was fighting to save Julie and I think he wanted it more. He just couldn't do much damage because of his injury. It would still be close though. The thing I wonder is how he didn't check the chamber before using the gun.

That's the same thing I always ask myself. What's your view on the Estes and Mr. Brooks murders as well? P.S. Quite an intriguing thread we have, I've noticed.

reply

Indeed is is! I always figured Estes was subdued and impaled after he whacked Will with the Oar. They left Estes' loss open ended because it's Ben who follows him into the lobby area while he's injured. A long stabbing weapon like that seems like a stretch for a man with only one hand. I bet Will took down Estes, impaled him, then he and Ben made sure he'd walk into the lobby area when the girls did just to add to the horror.

I'm thinking Ben surprised Mr. Brooks. maybe injured him, positioned him in a chair and then drove the cleaver into his head. Will was hanging out with Julie and Co. for most of the time. Makes me wonder if Will took part in Billy Blue's murder as well. What do you think?

You mean David Egan? I'm sure it is possible. Ben Willis was walking back alone, as he was the only one Ray struck with Barry Cox's Beamer. It's likely Will left the scene after he and his dad murdered Egan. As far as the deal with Estes, Will must have had a hard head to be able to take that punishment and have time enough to find the spear-gun he used to kill Estes. Not too surprising. Psychopaths can do things the average human can't.

Will didn't kill Brooks, he was with Tyrell, Julie and Carla.
