Forgotten and then remembered?

I predict that this film will be recognized for it's value much later in film history. Arguably one of the better films of the nineties and on my personal list of top ten horror films but unfortunately very underrated.

It's a daring and innovative film making. Directed by a female "not that it really maters" who constructs a cuttingly powerfully and dynamic film which still manages to be subtle.

It's observations of the human condition are refreshingly not of the blubberingly emotional type.

I hope its remembered. It's a fantastic movie.

and this is the type of horror movie that is also wrought with social commentary like Night of the Living Dead. very smart, gory, and good film. :] from my perch it seems like it's getting recognition and a small "cult" following.

I completely agree and personally find this film to be all sorts of creepy. From the score of the film to the look in Ives' eyes; everything works.

I went into this film not knowing a thing about it. Not even the subject of cannibalism, which contributed to my surprise when the first attack took place.

We've met before, haven't we?

This movie perfectly blends creepy and funny. I find it to be distubingly hilarious. I was on the "Jennifer's Body" board and a topic is other movies that blend horror and comedy together well. I was the only one to put "Ravenous". I was hoping others would follow.
