I don't care what anyone says. The soundtrack sucks? I thought it fit the movie really well actually. It was out of place and weird which made it scary. The part where Ives chases Toffler through the woods made me laugh my pants off. Just the music and the terror of a cannibal chasing a man through the woods. It was intense and funny at the same time. And where he picks all 3 of them off at the same time was just terrifying. It gets a little twisty here and there. I love it. I can't believe this movie isn't as popular as I thought. I think it will soon gain a cult following. To be honest I got it off Netflix and after watching it once I ordered it of Amazon and didn't send the Netflix copy back until my copy got here. Its got a mixture of history, horror, thriller and I would say comedy. Dark comedy. It shines a lot of light on The Donner Party, which is true. It happened around the same time and is about cannibalism.

Just to play devils' advocate: I think the least common complaint is about the soundtrack. It's perfect.

There are actually 2 post on this board about the soundtrack. One is talking about shooting the composer the other is talking about how annoying it is.

If Ebert did then he's a moron. The soundtrack is highly original, creepy, and fits the storyline perfectly.

I agree, I loved everything about this movie. It's one of my favorite horror films.

you are right. this movie is great. i watched it when it first came out and was amazed. the setting and soundtrack are awesome. i even got my sister to watch and she loved it. one of my all time favorite movies.

I agree. This is a very underrated movie. At the time I watched a lot of splatter and horror movies. And then "Raveonus" came out, I loved it - and it was over for me with the horror movies. I think that was because it was so original on many levels, while many of the renowned horror movies - like "House of 1000 corpses" - did not bring up anything new. I would not say there are no good ones anymore, but they do not bring anything new to the genre.
Well I have not seen much of the "Saw"-movies, and I have not fully ssen "Human centipede".
