The music

There are some posts complaining about the music. I didn't notice the music, which I htink is an indication that it was appropriate. Soundracks add to a movie, but don't become the focus, if they're done right. Like the track for "Jaws."

So I went to the internet and found the soundtrack songs and listened to some.

I liked them. Some were old timey soldier band music, so clearly appropriate, since they were soldiers in the old west. Others were pure horror movie, suspense building tracks. Very appropriate and not scene stilling, yet suspense building.

I don't know why people would object. Maybe they're unfamiliar with old time music? Or unfamiliar with using music that would have been played at the time of the events in the movie?

I liked the scoring a great deal, but I did often notice it (in a bad way) because it was frequently far too damned loud.

Very annoying when a movie makes you constantly adjust your volume down for the music and back up again for the dialogue. I'm glad I never saw this in a theater, where obviously you can't even do that.
