Change of fighters?

OK just one (quite major) editing mistake.

In the fight leading up to the final climax, who am i (jackie) has a fight with two hired people on top of the building. After he has a fight with the first guy the second guy has a go. you will notice he is quite tall and has a blue shirt with white spots under a waistcoat. for a second of the fight as he does a jumping kick over an air vent. If you notice it turns to a slightly shorter fatter guy wearing a red shirt with waistcoat, he only comes in for a second whilst doin this kick, then the camera changes and it goes back to the tall guy and the fight continues as normal from then on.

I think this is quite amusing if you havnt noticed it already since the least they could do is sort him out with the same clothes.

Yeah, it says in the trivia that Bradley James Allan doubled for him in that scene, and he's a much shorter guy. He's not fat, though.

Brad Allen doubles the tall guy quite a lot as his timing is much better for the cameras. He works with JC quite a lot, he's the only none Asian guy to make it into JC's Stunt team. There's one part of the fight where Brad Allen is doing lot's of spin kicks and they lower the camera angle to cover up the difference in height!!

You forget all the things, you just do it!

There is a scene of the makin of this part, which was shown on TCI or Spike TV a year or so ago. It showed how Ron couldn't do what Jackie wanted, so he had Brad to double.

In the documentary "Jackie Chan: My Stunts", it explains they had to change actors because the original guy was unable to get the timing of the moves correct. So Jackie switched him with a member of his own stunt team.

Same with Morgan, the CIA guy at the end when Michelle Ferre roundhouses him in the face. He gets kicked and it's not him while he's turning around.

lol. terrible stunt doubles. an asian stunt double with gray hair for a white guy with brown hair.

To be honest, I never noticed Bradley James Allan swapping in before, even though I knew about the trouble JAckie had with the actual actor's choreography. But then I noticed it the morning and wondered if anyone else had.
I did notice that he's swapped for an Asian stunt man at the end when Jackie knocks him down, and then pats him up before he falls down.
I think it's well enough hidden that you don't spot it unless you're a) looking for it, or b) watch this scene repeatedly - as I have

Yup in different parts of the fight, for different moves, Brad, Andy Cheng and Nikki Li all doubled Ron Smoorenburg. The making of vcd set shows clips of all three guys doing the doubling at different sections. I interviewed Andy years ago about it and he said,
“I think the problem was, that was one of his first movies and when you fight with a superstar, of course you have a lot of pressure. And Jackie uses a certain rhythm and timing. So if you’re nervous about working with a big star you may not be able to concentrate. When he approached Jackie the first time, he was scaring him because he kicked too fast or too high and Jackie was worried about his control.”
