I need help with a story for the Associated Press…

My name is David Fischer, and I work for the Associated Press (www.ap.org) in Miami.

I’m working on a feature story about 1980s cartoons on DVD. The story is not so much about the shows being released on DVD as the people who are buying them. The common belief is that cartoons are for children, but I don’t really think that’s the target demographic for these DVD releases.

So the reason I’m posting here is to find sources for my story. I’d like to talk to anyone who watched the cartoons as a child and has bought DVDs for any of the shows over the past year or so. I’m interested in talking to people who buy the DVDs for themselves and people who want to watch the shows with their kids.

If you’re interested in talking to me for the story, you can either send me a private message through IMDB or send me an e-mail at [email protected]. At that point, we can set up a time to do an interview over the phone. The interview shouldn’t be very long. It will mostly depend on how much you have to tell me.

I’d appreciate any help. Thanks.

I’d like to thank everyone who contacted me and helped me with my story.

It went out last week, so if you’re interested, you can check it out here:

I got way more responses than I could use, and I’m still getting private messages. But even if I didn’t talk to you for the story, I still appreciate your interest.

Thanks again,

David Fischer
