Question for She-Ra fans about the dvd set?

I just picked up the Season 1 dvd set last night and looking at the discs I had a couple of questions.

1.Why are the episodes out of order? It says in the description for disc six that the episodes are in order of story continuity not the order of the production date.She-ra had mostly stand alone episodes other than the first five and I don't remember anyone dying or gaining new powers so what does that mean?

2.What's the correct code entry for Lookee's vault?I know you can get the code by finding Lookee in every episode but I just don't have the time to watch 5-7 episodes of She-Ra in one sitting.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Well I've watched the first two discs now and it kinda answered my question. Here's a list of the "switched" episodes.

Episode 12 switched places with episode 10.

Episode 35 replaced episode 18.

Episode 42 replaced episode 24.

I haven't made it to disc three yet but in the first example,Sorrowful the Dragon isn't introduced until episode 12 and yet he is shown battliing the Horde in episode 10.Obviously they switched the order so it makes more sense from a continuity stand point.I hadn't relized the episodes had been aired out of order or that Sorrowwful was a recurring character.

One thing i think you all need to look at is sometimes some episodes of shows the order they are made in is not the order they are aired in. For example look on He-Man's show. The pilot episode for He-Man that is titled "Diamond Ray of Disapearance" was the fourth episode that was made in the studio but was the First episode shown on tv. Then in other cases of the same tv show look at the episodes titled "Orko's favorite uncle" and "The Return of Orko's uncle" When those two episodes were made in the studio they were made in incorect sequence. When aired they aried them just like i have listed them so that the episode that introduces Orko's uncle to He-man comes first and the one where he returns to help again comes second. So you see that is just like on She-Ra because there are the storylines of episodes where the events of have to line up correctly. So the episodes might be made in one order in the studio but when aired on tv they are re-arranged to where the events of the episodes make sense.

I agree. The continuity is made here to be perfect. Modulok doesn't get to Etheria until Episode 35 (Gateway to Trouble)but Multi-Bot is working for Hordak in Ep 18 (Horde Prime takes a Holiday.) Since we know Modulok created Mutli-bot, there could have been no other way to make the switch.

One thing I can say is with He-Man and She-Ra the people who ran the studio put the episodes in correct order so the stories would match up. It was too bad that other shows made in other studios did not do the same. For example on the original Transformers there were episodes when they were shown on tv they were not in the proper order. Here is how i can prove it is there is an episode titled "Child's play" where Prime and 4 other Autobots get teleported to this other planet where they are the size of toys at and when the use a toy rocketship to lauch off to try to get back to earth the episode ends when they blast off. Then there is an episode titled "The Gambler" that at the start shows that toy rocket ship breaking down and then a big frieght ship picks them up and after the events of the episode where they have to deal with a man who bets on things he helps them get back to earth. The one thing though is when these episodes were aired on tv they put several other episodes between them when these two belong back to back. Also on the same tv show in the 3rd season they showed the episode "Dark Awakening" as the 8th episode of the 3rd season when really it was to be the first of the final 6 episodes of the tv show because of how at the end of the episode the narraitor says the title of the episode that is to be next at the end of that one episode. So what i am saying is there are some production studios who will take the time to put the shows in proper order before airing them and there are others who do not do that.
