She Ra toys

I have been obsessed with She Ra sence I was a kid. I was born the year it debuted on TV and it is really the first show I remember watching....well, that and Jem!!

I have been re-watching the first season on DVD and I had the idea to make a series of She-Ra "Unchained" figures, loosely based on The Sword of She-Ra movie.

I started with She-Ra herself first and I plan on making Bo and Catra next!

Here is a crappy cell phone in-progress pic of She-Ra!

She is made with a Jean Grey head and a Witch blade body. Her arms are from a Rising Star and Spice Girl figures.

I decided to go with battle dammaged lookes for this set.

Thanks for looking!

i was born in 1984 as well when she-ra first came out but i remember watching all the time when i was a little older. my sister had some of the dolls and they didn't look a thing like their cartoon counterparts, also they never made a scorpia or shadow weaver dolls(2 of my fave characters) yet they made netossa and double trouble dolls who either had very very small roles or none at all in the series. Please get in touch if you get far in this, i would love to see how ur dolls turn out

I didn't get to where I am today by being nice!!!!!!!

Thanks for your enthusiam!
I am done sculpting her, she just needs some paint now.
It's funny you mentioned ShadowWeaver. I just started gathering parts for her today! She is one of my favorite characters too!
I decided that the figures I make of She-Ra and co. will look how I would want them to look if there ever was a live action movie...hence using the Famke Jenson head for She-Ra. I think she would be perfect for She-Ra!!

I will be sure to post updated pictures as I go!

Thanks for your reply, good luck with your dolls. I especially hope you get to make Scorpia, Shadow Weaver and Entrapta dolls as i loved those characters.

However: I do have a slight disagreement with you, as much as i do love famke janssen (especially in goleneye and faculty) she is defianetly not right for She-Ra. Only person i can slightly resemble adora nd become she-ra is emilie de ravin and not even emilie is right for the role

I see what you are saying about Famke. I think while she is too old for Adora, she would be a great She-Ra.
I also think that Sarah Michelle Gellar could pull off Adora but I am not to sure about her as She-Ra. I think that given the right costums and director, Sarah Gellar could pull ot off affectively. She has a mature enough look to be She-Ra but she can also pull off really young, which I think is a necessity for Adora.

Maybe I should try and make a She-Ra with a Sarah action figure head.....

I have already begun Shaddow Weaver even though I am not done with She-Ra but I want to wait and post pictures until I am a bit further along.

Check back often ;)
