Scene in trailer - not in movie?

I always watch this when it comes on tv. There is a scene in the trailer on this page I have never seen. He is telling his parents about the romance with Anna Scott.

Were his parents actually characters who were cut out for tv version or was it just one scene?

Buy the deluxe DVD and see all the deleted scenes. The one you describe is there.

Another deleted scene implies that Tony's restaurant is able to reopen, probably because the patrons hope to catch a glimpse of Anna Scott.
