I wonder if there was ever going to be a sequel?

At one time, I heard that there was going to be a sequel to the film called Heartbroken. I know that the plot was supppose revolve around Page divorcing Jack feeling that the relationship didn't work out. Max was also having trouble with her relationship. I also know that they both were suppose to continue their quest for revenge against Barbara who betrayed them. I guess the sequel never happened probably due to Anne Bancroft's death in 2005.

God forbid. This one went on a little too long for me. It reminded me a little of "The Grifters" with Annette Bening and Anjelica Huston, this one is more of a comedy--both entertaining movies, but can't see a sequel.

What a terrible idea for a sequel! How depressing!

I did have one idea for a follow-up myself though:

Some years after the first movie, Paige and Jack now have a teenage daughter, but they're less than thrilled when they find out Grandma Max has been teaching her some of her old con tricks. Meanwhile Dean has his own problems, as a daughter he never knew he had shows up in his life. Paige's daughter smells a rat however, and it may be up to one con girl to stop another.
