Jason Lee wasn't cast as the romantic male lead. I mean, ugh. He has a unibrow and a freakin' HORSE FACE! He just doesn't even register on the hot-meter to me at ALL. Of course, that could have something to do with My Name is Earl...

Well, I like Jason Lee as any actor... But I mean, he tends to play the *beep* character but in this his character was the only character who was truly decent. It was odd to him play the only genuinely good character in the whole movie :P
