Near the beginning her character smokes while eating at a restaurant. Does she really smoke in real life? I wouldn't think so, shes really hot and seems like she has a nice persona and I would think she would be smart enough to know not to smoke.

yeah if you read about katherine heigel she says she doesnt smoke either, but she always is seen w/ a cig. i think they say that but they do smoke. they are probably told to say a lot of things for their image. my friend is an actress and her manager told her to pick up smoking so she wont want to eat and not gain weight. sad isnt it?

Actually, to me it looks kinda phony. I can't really say why, but from all the people I've seen smoking, nobody looked even remotely like JLH in this flick. The way she holds her cigarette in her mouth seems very artificial.
shareI totally agree, Dominik. I mean, maybe she does smoke in real life, but in the film it looks completely fake. In most of the shots where she is smoking she blows it out really quickly and isn't inhaling. If she smoked in the film as much as her character is supposed to, then she'd be holding the smoke in her lungs more. That's just my 2cents.

Most likely not, so why bother spending time worrying about unimportant things like Jennifer Love Hewitt smoking, and find something else to look up on the internet... If she smokes or not, it's her business.

To clearify, I know the dangers and I wouldn't date a girl who smoked (I don't smoke myself), it isn't the reality that I find attractive it's 100% strictly a visual type of thing.
A lot of men have smoking fetishes. It's not that unusual, though it's not discussed very often. One reason why Hollywood has always glamorized smoking.

Must be a woman thing. I have two female friends who smoke quit regularly, but whenever They're around certain people They're like "Oh, I don't smoke." Real snotty like too. I smoke from time to time and I have no problem admitting it.

Virtually all the hot young starlets in Hollywood are smokers. That's one of the reasons there are so many young women in society today who are smokers. The tobacco industry knows what it's doing . . .
Ironically, "Heartbreakers" managed to turn a negative into a positive by being one of the few films I've seen with an ANTI-smoking message.
