Is it true that this film earn only $2000? Unbelievable...

not that unbelievable, considering i never heard of it until i watched it at 2 in the morning on Showtime one summer night. a lot of great movies just dont have the budget to advertise, and this was one of them.

It's true. It was only released in two theaters.
