Favorite Movie of all time....

Favorite Movie of all time....

That said... Snatch, Lock Stock are also in my top three league...

I love these movies, but this... Its just incredible well played... Love the story, the ending, the characters... !!!

Really really like it... And I have it on DVD - YES!

Anyway, cant see any resemblance too tarentino... dont really like his movies... so if peeps like him more, go watch that... his kill bill is okay...

But this movie, is so overseen!!! noone knows it, but everytime I show it to people, they're astonished.... which is cool, (A movie today noone knows, which is actually good :)) since lots of movies today, never reach the same hights... - in this I mean, the feeling you have after watching a movie... this is just great.

But I do thinkn the IMDB crappy - "If you like this, u also like..."

I need som ereally ahrdcore fans of this movie, to give me some titles.. on movies alike... so I can see more movies like this...

Please help...

Most of them u recommmend, ive seen, however, I don't find em nearly as the Thursday theme movie...

I'll look in my movies, and reply soon with new ones, and about the other movies...

Nice of u to reply...

Btw just saw Sin City the other day, I ws astonished by the well played Mickey Rourke, the rest of the movie were kinda blurr to me, after seeing his way of doing the day, I just loved it... the other stories, kinda bored me... I was sad that they chose to play em in taht order, Rourkes story should have been last, since that was the most compelling... anyway, ill be back to apply my movies... that makes it all worth watching :)

Bye...

Again, I'm back.

(Btw. about Sin City and Thursday and Mickey Rourke, in Spun hes a pretty nice nutcase too).

About Thursday, not much accomplish to get near it, but still

My luv' birds are.:

Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels - A story not straight forward, but with so nice and wel played actors, plus the lines I still laugh of.

Snatch - Somewhere near the above mentioned, again - Nothing is more beautifull than seeing action happens in a loud toned soundtrack as the beginning of the movie, or the scene where the fat bloke, tries to reverse the car... - or the scene where the dogs chase the rabbit and Mirwais - Disco Silence is the only sound u hear...

And the newly wedded - Layer Cake - A well scripted movie by the same man who wrote the above ones (not thursday), not directed by madonnas dear husband - But still nice, without jokes, just hard hitting... with a not so forward ending.

Again, what I've concluded from all this, is movies where we feel entertained all the way, and with an ending where u rise from the seat, seeing everything more unreal... and still fullfilled - It is movies I talk about, but still... this is what we hunger for.

Others in that league that I have beside me is.:

The Usual Suspects - We all know that one, first time I saw it, I was amazed, I luved it... And baldwin did a great job... so did the others, Mr. Soze.

Any Given Sunday - One movie that delivers the music, place and sound cannot be more precise about this movie... It is gods gift to Surround Sound... I luv every bit of it!

HEAT - A superb well played movie, with a soundtrack compelled to the things happening in the movie! Or the scene where De Niro and Pacino drinks their coffee.

On another league...

Shawshank Redemption - A B-A utifull movie... Thomas Newmans soundtrack does it all... and the movie is amazing, well played and such.

For the good news about people liking this one, they often havent been told about this one:

Murder In The First - So deep striking, and still much as the above one, the soundtrack I dont recall... Though its well done, even though I dislike Mr. Slater/Slick... But Kevin Bacon gives an outstunning performance.

... From here the obvious ones, is - Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, Gladiato and Braveheart.

Now for a completely different league, where I cant really say why I like em... But Sex Games & the soft soft feelgood movie... Love Actually... I know, but I feel good after it :)

And for the more obviously movies, Matrix (Mostly because thats where I found Rob Dougans music from), Dark City...

And for the Guy who liked Go! - Blow and HUMAN TRAFFIC is absolutlly one of the best movies viewing the drug/party area...

And lastly but not least, Confession of a dangerous mind - Damn I luv this dude played from the green mile as the insane one in the cell.

By making this review about great movies, I just ordered a bunch of movies from the local site with movies for sale... Damn.

Again, what we seek as in Thursday, is viewing a movie, where we DO NOT expect the next step in the movie, we are given the glory of a movie with a direction we do not knowm nor see... How rare is that!! And if it finally happens, mostly its screwed up by some freak making the movie...

The above is my 2 cents about movies, I hope u respond to this thread in a way, where we share great movies, or movies we can watch again and again...

We have trouble in finding those!

The 5th Element is perhaps the most easy viewing movie, mostly because of the super nice world/ Willis given it all...

Thank you, and good night...

CupeX - Hope u find it usefull, or perhaps one richer adventure at hand after watching some of these mentioned above.

Oh, One more thing, do u need entertainment like what we spoke of... See The Sopranos - The BEST series ever.

Have you seen Very Bad Things ?

It's maybe a movie you like.
How about 15 Minutes?

reply

reply

quite stylish movie indeed,
although nothing really new
I never lost interest, not for a minute (or do you need Paulina Porizkova for that:P )

reply

Nope, you're right - nothing new... but then again, then nothing is new - It's all been done...

But this is just done in a nice way... Most of us agree on that!

reply

Another sleeper alot of people haven't heard of but is excellent is 2 Days in the Valley. Very underrated and you get a great catfight with Teri Hatcher and Charlize Theron as a bonus!
Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

reply

sorry about my bad typing, that's "Made men" whith James Belushi (1999)

reply

If anyone has the chance to get this or watch it on cable dont hesitate. Its probably Thomas Jane's and Arons best movie to DATE. It's unique and visceral and they fit the parts perfect.

A++ MOVIE
