Towards the end when Casey is throwing the bodies out...he remembers Nick's voice telling him about going on a vacation and something about a spare tire around his waist...then Casey looks at the BMW in front of him and that gives him the idea to cut open up a spare tire cuz thats where the money would be...Was that BMW important at all? Because the tire wasnt from the BMW it seems like Casey just looked at it and saw thought ohh spare tire...I dont even know if what im asking makes sense, hopefully someone knows that im saying lol.

I don't think the actual BMW was important to the plot, but the spare tire (whether it belonged to the BMW or not), I believe, worked just like you said. Casey saw it, thought of the conversation, BOO-YAA, and it went from there. Because they called each other brother throughout the film, obviously the filmmaker was trying to make a point - that these guys knew each other SO WELL they could almost read each other's mind. Even Mickey Rourke's cop said it - something to the effect of, "You may not think you know where the money is, but it's there, deep down in your subconcious.".

I had a friend that watched the movie with me postulate that "brother" WASN'T just a term of endearment between Nick and Casey - they were actual blood kin. Interesting take, I thought. Anyway, Jero, I hope this helps, and if I was reading your question wrong I apologize - it's not like we're brothers or anything.

I tend to agree with your friend also that Casey and Nick are blood related. That's how it came across to me. I'd have to watch it again closely to see if they mention Nick's last name, but the way he and Casey interact with each other, yes, they know each other very well, but it comes across that their closeness is cos they're siblings, not just close mates. The way Casey is happy to see Nick when he turns up and they hug, that just felt like a brother thing, not a mate thing.
Who knows? Maybe its left up to the viewers interpretation.

There's no suggestion anywhere that they are other than former partners in the drug business.

The BMW was deliberately shown cos earlier in the film Nick borrwowed Casey's car to go run his errands, and he took the BMW (its a f*kin stationwagon!..lol). So throughout Nick's travels during the day, he's gotten the money and stashed it in the tire. Whether or not the tire is the actual BMW's spare is probably irrelevant, whatever tire Nick used was in the BMW cos thats the car he was using for the day.
Nick was killed soon after calling Casey that last time, so Detective Kasarov drove the BMW back to Casey's home. So all that, along with the line about 'vacation and spare tire around the waist' added up in Casey's mind, so thats why he knew to check the tire in the BMW.

Did they show the Detective driving the BMW back to the house? Because now you've got me thinking - obviously Nick didn't drive the BMW back to the house, as there would have been the whole dead body thing. But if the detective drove the BMW to Casey's, WHY would he do it? If the cop knew the $$ was in the BMW, he would have just torn it apart himself. So why would he drive it back to Casey's? And how'd he get home then? I've only seen the film 18 million times, you'd figure I would have this clocked by now...oh, now my head hurts.

They didn't show the detective actually driving the BMW, but he definately did cos when he entered the house, he handed the keys for it back to Casey.
He didn't know the money was in the car. All he knew was that Nick stole it and stashed it somewhere, and trusted Casey would be able to figure out where. It was just plain bad luck for him that he drove the car containing the money and was completely unaware it was in the spare.
As for WHY he drove the car back at all, who knows? My guess is simply for the fact that he wasn't out to screw Casey over in any way, quite the opposite. All he wanted was the money, and in return would fix all the crap that had happened during the day to Casey. He was simply returning the car to its rightful owner. He's a cop, not a car theif.

I have no idea how he woulda gotten home after that though. Maybe he called one of his buddies to come pick him up? Or maybe another crooked cop who was in on it all followed him and waited outside while Kasarov went inside to talk to Casey.
I dunno, I'm just taking a stab to try and provide an answer to your questions so you're head doesn't hurt as much...haha.

LOL, thanks jonah 88. That's the only thing about watching a movie a million times - eventually you're like, "Wait a minute...". I know some people do that right away, but I like getting totally "sucked in" to what I'm watching, so I tend not to notice plot holes, and I REALLY tend to miss "goofs". Like two characters are sitting at a bar, having an involved discussion. If you're watching the one characters drink become less/more full between shots, then you're not watching the characters, you're FOR SURE not paying attention to the plot/dialouge.

Of course, IMHO, if I could ever get my personal "holy grail" movie ("Thursday" with the directors cut and extras), maybe some of this stuff would make sense.
But I appreciate you trying to ease my head pain, LOL.

At the beginningish of the film, Nick asks Casey if he can borrow his car as he has a few things to do in town. He steals the money as one of these errands, then hides it in the car tire so when the cops catch up with him, they don't find the money. The cops find him, and cut off his ehad - but can't find the money in the car. When Detective Kasarov drives the BMW back to Casey's house, unknown to him the money is in the car inside the spare tire. Then later casey sees the car and realises that's where Nick has hidden the money
