Why is this not on DVD ?
With the world the way it is today and everything and its mother available on DVD....why is this not on DVD?
Seriously!
I bought the DVD years ago, glad I did as that must have been the only run they made of them.

shareaerrich, I would gladly buy and/or trade you for a burnt copy of your (what I assume is the) original, Polygram DVD of 'Thursday'. Cash or trade (I have almost 5,000 VERY hard to find movies), and the best part is, it would be completely legal. Under the Berne Convention, if a movie is not in print it is not copyrighted. I'm not going to fight with anyone about this (other than to say "How do you think websites can [well, mostly used to] dedicate themselves to selling DVD-R's of such things as Disney's 'Song Of The South', the Star Wars Xmas special, David Lynch's other TV show, 'On The Air', and workprints of 'Hard Target' and the 'Night of the Living Dead' remake...and not get shut down [or even bothered] by the FBI, or any other organization?"), because if people wish to be ignorant or overly cautious that's up to them.
But back to aerrich and the original Polygram DVD of 'Thursday'. If you are interested, aerrich, just reply directly to this post, and I'll find out about it by email.

What's the fuss?
This DVD has been out for ages in Europe, legally issued by Univeral Germany.
As we speak, four of these are offered on eBay UK, and one is available to worldwide customers (and no, I'm not the seller).
Of course, it's region 2 PAL which may be a problem for non-European DVD players. It's in English with removable German subtitels. I have this DVD and it's great. Completely uncut, so all the blood and guts and all of Paulina is there!
The fuss, kind sir, is that the German DVD (like the Russian DVD) does not have the all important extras, like the Director's Commentary.

Ooooooh.... the all-important extras.....like the director's commentary..... How could I have been so ignorant..... Movies are not complete without them..... Now I know this, I'll never buy a DVD that does not have a director's commentary. Thanks for enlightening me.

Considering a minor film such as Thursday, people should just be happy that it is available, and not moan about the lack of director's commentary. If it were a prerequisite, nobody would buy a David Lynch DVD, because he doesn't do commentaries. Or a Lucio Fulci DVD, because he died before commentaries became in vogue. So, lighten up.
