Not to mention, they're both still fully clothed ( only slightly shifted ) and laying on sticks and rocks.

AND IT WAS COLD!!!!!!
I don't think they actually had sex though. I think Candy's cry came when she realized how far it had gotten, and that one moment set up Homer and Candy to feel justified for when they would do it later on.
Later on in the movie Homer tells Candy that she had indeed warned him that (paraphrasing) "she can't be alone" or something. I figured if he had taken it as a warning, it had come at a time before they had actually done it and cemented the affair.
Well what do you expect? Homer was most likely a virgin and had never been with a woman before. I think my first time was around 15 seconds too
shareExactly, it was Homer's first time. What does anyone expect? :o)
shareIs it possible it supposedly lasted longer? They did zoom out during the scene and the next scence it shows her saying she was no good at being alone.

In the book Homer had sex with a girl in the orphanage when he was about 14 I think. That's just a fun fact cause in the movie I highly doubt that he'd had sex before Candy.
"This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this."
Very realistic - She was desperate for intimacy and he was a horny young man (likely a virgin). Actually this was far more realistic than scenes which show extended "first times". It is high unlikely though, that she would have an orgasm in this brief session. I think her cry was more one of conquest or relief upon his entering her - they sort of zoom out and then come back inb after the act, so we don't know if there was a longer session following this brief one.
shareOnly Rebekel has a somewhat accurate and cosmopolitan analysis of this brief sexual encounter, although not even she understands the Candy character. Some women have a very low threshold of required foreplay before achieving orgasm. Keep in mind that there was the long hug as well as some passionate kissing before Homer entered her. Candy had been without sexual contact for, what for her, was a rather long time. Women like Candy are on a perpetual low simmer. This writer thinks it totally believable that she experienced a climax, and though not having read the book, she seems to be multi-orgasmic. And as far as that lucky Homer is concerned, nothing to be embarrassed about by what some might term a premature ejaculation. Both characters seemed quite pleased with their partner's love-making after their first encounter in the film. Another example of a scene which sets this picture apart from the rest.
sharethats a bit of a stretch.....
"That wasn't flying, that was........falling with style"
LOL! Yeah his being a virgin is what made him come so fast.

Even though they removed half of the plot, the book was rather long so they had limited time to get through it all. You should increase the duration of every event in the film by a factor of 50. Hence the 15 second love scene. In the book it was a 36 hour marathon
