So, what happened with Jack?
Yeah, what DID happen to him?

Mr. Rose got to him, what Mr. Rose did to him is not your business, unless you happen to be in the knife business.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. - The Dudeshare
I actually laughed out loud! Very good.
sharehahahahahahahaha best reply I've ever read on this board, or perhaps any board, ever.
shareI thought he was the one that got the daughter pregnant. I was really surprised when I found out he hadn't.

I imagine that he made a move on the daughter and the father was jealous.
shareI think he was the only guy who confronted Mr Rose about what he was doing to his daughter.

This is my thought as well. All the same I wonder if Mr. Rose killed him or if Jack left because he could not stand by and watch the incest.
shareI don't know, I'm not sure if I can picture Jack being one to protest Mr. Rose sleeping with Rose on moral grounds, like he was trying to protect or defend Rose. I can maybe see him throwing it in Mr. Rose's face though, kind of like Mr. Rose did to Homer ... "You come to ME talking about lies and shame ... that boy is away at war!" Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that we were really given an image of Jack as someone who pretty much only did things for himself, really didn't care much about how it affected others. So I could see Jack maybe finding out about Mr. Rose and Rose (it seemed all the guys knew). And then some time after that, Mr. Rose and he got into it over something again, and Jack threw it in his face maybe ..."what business am *I* in? You got no right to act high and mighty ... what business are you in with your daughter??"

I always wondered what happened to him. The way the other workers reacted when Homer asked about Jack made it seem like they all knew something was up, just like how they reacted when Homer confronted Mr. Rose in the orchard and everyone could hear what they were saying. Considering the fact that it was pretty obvious that everyone knew what was going on with Rose and Mr. Rose, I assumed that Jack said something he shouldn't have and Mr. Rose did something to him.
