Wally
Was he impotent in the book.
shareWhat book?
.
The book by John Irving (who wrote The World According to Garp and other bestsellers.
I don't know because I've never read it, but we don't get to find out in the film, whether gets to walk again, but he's crippled, obviously, when he arrives home.
My father was in the Air Force at that time and flew the same route as Wally, "The Burma Run", over the Himalayas from India to China, to brings supplies and troops to the Allies fighting the Japanese). It was every bit as dangerous as Wally says it is. Luckily, my dad had some close calls but made it through.
She deserves her revenge, and we deserve to die.
No one is answering this question so I guess the book does not go into this subject. My guess is that in the book he is impotent verses the way the film is structured he is is not. I do also feel the film says he could not have kids so he could have sex but could not produce viable reproducing sperm.
shareHis gf was pregnant when they first showed up. Two months along if I remember correctly. So I doubt that. After his plane goes down though, Idk.
shareThe abortion was not a flashback. We see nothing if Wally's life after we see the scene of him being lifted out of the car. So I'm not sure what you're even talking about.
