Anyone else feel like they needed to shower after watching this?

I just felt dirty and disgusted. Doesn't a "dark comedy" have to have some "comedy" in it?

haha i like your metaphor....i thouhgt it was a good dark comedy though, there were 2 or 3 funny parts..

and when cameron diaz breaks down at the end and makes that retarded noise i always laugh pretty hard.

a vile, reprehensible film, and one strictly for mean spirited morons. I agree with the op of course.

This was the most repellent film I've ever seen.
'Dark comedy' doesn't mean the humor is all mean-spirited'.
'Harold and Maude', 'Little Murders', 'Where's Poppa?' & 'The War of the Roses' are dark comedies.
You have to care about SOMEbody in them. I cared about no characters in this film. Brothers killing brothers.

Agreed. This movie could have been funny. If they would have stuck with just an accidental death of the stripper, and them trying to cover it up etc. But it feels like a comedy that a serial killer would find amusing, how they just all went on to kill each other.

It's just way too dark, not funny at all.

Too dark? Go watch a Disney movie then you wuss

SARAH PALIN. Hero of the stupid.

I thought this movie was pure gold. It's definitely not for everyone though, there is something here to offend everyone.

It had plenty of comedy in it, you just couldn't appreciate it. You do realize that dark comedies are, you know, *dark* right? If you get offended by dark humor then obviously movies like this aren't going to appeal to you, but that doesn't mean it was a bad movie or that there's no comedy in it.

American Psycho was a good black-comedy. This was not. The only moment that I found remotely amusing was when Moore jumped through the table. The rest of it was too annoying to be funny, but I guess there are some who merely need broad caricatures and yelling to inspire their laughter. I felt nothing but aggravation after watching this movie.

I thought it was a great little movie and very innovative. Clearly it's a dark comedy, and that by definition means it will alienate as many as it will endear. I really hate the criticisms I keep reading that the death of the stripper was 'far enough' and the makers should have stuck with that. There are so many safe comedies that base the story on one interesting event, and pad the rest of the entertainment with good one-liners and cliched situation comedy.

This was a one of a kind movie and deserves respect for that, regardless of personal taste. Two aspects that I really loved were both the lack of a standard happy ending, and that the zaniness accumulated to the ultimate crescendo with a rhythm I can only compare to how the suspense genre plays with the viewer's fear.

It would've been very shocking for a rom-com in 1998 outside of a video nasty and a horror slasher, bodily dismemberment was much more implied in Goodfellas, but sawing up bodies seems the norm now on HBO and Showtime.
