The PlayStation Video Game

Anyone remember this? I still own it and remember getting it with the original PS back in Christmas 1998. It's actually a pretty good game once you get past the sometimes awkward controls and the jolty camera system (something a like of 3D action games back then suffered from). It differs from the film in that in actually takes place on Gorgon and you as Archer with help from the Gorgonites whom you can summon into battle have to fight against the Commandos. It expands on the Gorgonites' mythology in a very neat way and has some excellent level designs and music. A glaring omission though is that for some reason Brick Bazooka, Link Static and Freakenstein are nowhere in the game, which is kind of disappointing.

I remember not everyone being in the game and thinking wtf. Buy yeah the levels were pretty creative. I remember the art work on the cover. Chip and Archer are standing in the middle of an explosion

I just finished replaying this for the first time in so many years. It's still a pretty fun game and I love how it expands upon the Gorgonites' mythology and culture. The omission of Brick, Link and Freakenstein is still disappointing, though.

I found the game extremely repetitive and was disappointed that I could not play as more of the Gorgonites. It is cool though to see Insaniac be freed and absolutely rip s**t up. Still own it to this day, but probably play it once every 5 years or so.

It would've been awesome to have been able to play as more of the Gorgonites or even the Commandos. Shame Insaniac is only in two of the levels.
