Love it or hate it, at least they are attempting to remain relevant...

I have to hand it to Stone and Parker. They have been trying this serialized format in recent seasons in order to shake things up and avoid going stale. The laughs are somewhat diminished from the old days, but I do find the stories to be more interesting. The raucous humour is no longer front and center. This show has to take chances, otherwise it would become a shell of what it used to be ala 'The Simpsons'.

I agree though id add that they are succesful in their attempt to remain relevant, be ause while some people dont like the new episodes some people actually prefer the way its been going, plus they really hit it harder when it comes to current events and social commentary than any other show.
