could she have made the medical droids announce her dead by reprogramming them or something while no one was around?

Yes she could have and did ! She was lying on a whoopee cushion full of fake blood !

I'm hoping she did fake her death and the medical droids also changed her skin color and she is Reva. I'm hoping thats the big reveal in the last episode. Vader would be shocked
