...when the WHOLE premise of Revenge of the Sith is that Anakin wanted to save Padme?

It's simple really.

They had to make Rey the most powerful Jedi ever and so gave her whatever she needed to move the story along. Doesn't matter if it makes sense or not.

Disney gotta have there MaRey Sue.

Because Rey and Kylo were a Dyad in the Force. Which means the Force was extra special ultra strong in them. Hence the ability to restore life. Until they kept doing it over and over that is and the Force got angry and disappeared Kylo to put a stop to it. Otherwise the film would never have ended.
