FOR THOSE WHO'VE SEEN THE RISE OF SKYWALKER: WHY and HOW does Rey get the ability to heal

An interesting point i haven't really seen brought up. Presented in ROTS as a nearly impossible feat beyond even Palpatine's abilities & a major precipice for why Anakin fell to the dark side yet both Rey & Kylo casually pull this ability out of their asses. Just lore breaking Di$ney canon bs in the latest clusterf*ck of a trilogy

Easy. JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy needed a cheap, deux ex machina to make up for JJ's crappy writing.

A Sith or Dark Jedi doesn't have the ability to heal since it's a light power. But, there was nothing for Anakin to heal at the time since it was a premonition and he didn't know how Padme was going to die

Also, healing like all Jedi powers are a learned skilled and Jedi are better at specific abilities. Not all Jedi can heal well or at all.

After baby Yoda got the ability to heal Carl Weathers.

Maybe because Anakin had embraced the dark side, was on another planet and Padme was too far away to be healed? Had Anakin embraced the light he might have become powerful enough to do just that and heal Padme.

Why does everyone expect that all Jedi have the exact same abilities and power levels??? It's clear from watching all the films that they do not. Any idiot can see that ..

I'm willing to accept that the first six films didn't show the full range of existing Force powers, that there's a lot of individual variation in Force abilities, and that it's entirely a Light-side power. Which would imply that Anakin in free-fall wouldn't have been able to do it, even if Healing was among his gifts.

But that does raise the question of how Rey was able to use a light-side power, while SHE was struggling with her Dark Side...

I'm going with it being an ability the Jedi didn't have at the time. Either they didn't know it, or the fact that they have a diminished ability to use the Force prevented them from doing it.

That said, I don't think the prequel era Jedi had access to the Jedi texts Luke found and Rey had access to. So it's probably something she learned from them.
